BDO Sustainability Impact Scan

The BDO Sustainability Impact Scan is designed to help you quickly gain insight into how sustainability is perceived and organised within your organisation. Your responses will help us understand the extent to which sustainability is integrated into your organisational strategy, what the key sustainability priorities are, and to what degree your organisation has the capacity to achieve its sustainability goals.

The questions are mostly multiple choice, allowing you to select the answer that best reflects your organisation or situation. Completing the questionnaire will take approximately 15 minutes.

The questionnaire consists of three main sections. Click the plus icon for a definition of each section:

Sustainability Maturity

This concept describes the extent to which sustainability is structurally embedded within the organisation. It encompasses the degree to which sustainability policies, processes and objectives are integrated into corporate strategy and decision-making. This includes formal responsibilities, established policies and procedures, and the way sustainability risks and opportunities are systematically identified and managed.

Note: In this section, questions are asked twice: once about the current situation and once about the desired future situation.

Sustainability Priorities

This refers to the specific sustainability topics that are central to your organisation. These may range from environmental topics such as emissions reduction and efficient use of resources, to social and governance aspects such as diversity, labour rights and ethical business practices. The priorities guide the organisation’s focus and investments in sustainability.

Implementation Capacity

This concept indicates the extent to which your organisation has the necessary resources, knowledge and commitment to actually achieve sustainability goals. It includes both the competencies and motivation of employees, as well as the availability of management support, financial resources and a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Implementation capacity largely determines the success of sustainability initiatives within the organisation.

We'd like to get your views on your organisation's sustainability maturity journey, your ambitions and priorities, and any implementation challenges your organisation may face. Your responses will be kept confidential and will help us better understand the challenges and opportunities your organisation faces. We appreciate you taking the time to share your insights.
